Duty on Transfers Abolition
Good News - 'Abolition of duty on transfers of fishing licences'
As part of the 2015 - 16 State Budget, the Government today announced the following stamp duty measures:
- • Abolition of duty on non-quoted marketable securities: (non-real property)
Comprises property that is not land & buildings. Examples include:
- • transfer of statutory leases & licences, including fishing licences.
This action could save a potential purchaser between $5,000 & $6,000 or a potential lessee around $200.
